DS 5 tantrums worse than his younger brother

My DS 5 has constant tantrums and cries at everything, even something as simple such as wanting a drink or food. He doesn't just ask for it he cries and moans until I acknowledge him. His brother 2.5 doesn't behave like this. I find it so exhausting and constantly tell him he just needs to ask and stop shouting at me. Will this improve when he starts school in a few weeks or am I expecting too much?

How long has this been going on, did it start when his brother was born, does he do this with other people and at nursery, it could be he feels left out and his brother gets more attention.

@MissMoneyFairy I think he's been like it most of his life although he's so much better behaved when his brother isn't arrived. I don't give his brother any extra attention though and no he's not like it at nursery
