Just that really. My 4 year old boy/girl twins born 2 months premature are behind in all ways speech, wearing pull ups, wearing reins and all areas as defined by nursery pre-school. They are staying another year in pre-school because of this. What is your experience please?

I think you could ask this if any parents of significantly premature babies. How many weeks were they? I don't have any personal experience, just experience of 4 year olds so wearing nappies is quite delayed. How are they in other areas? Speech, fine motor skills, climbing, walking etc. I'm sure another year in nursery will benefit them a lot. With my b/g twins, I separated them from Reception but they weren't that close when younger although they did compare. I think it really benefited them to be separated in school. They are much closer now (16yo) than they were when they were 5, despite being in separate classes.

Hi, I had 6 week prem twins. Although they were quite a bit delayed up until around 2-2.5. I found they had caught up a lot by 4. It sounds like your 2 are getting extra help if pre school has identified the issues? Are they having speech therapy? 1 of mine had very delayed gross motor skills and we needed physiotherapy for that . It’s all very individual depending on what they need.

Mine were 10 weeks early summer born. They were physically tiny but academically fine, they could write names and count to 50 when they started in reception

Mine were two months early, had low muscle tone and were little but academically fine and meeting milestones. All fine when they started school.
