Toddler complaining of itchiness but nothing on skin

My 2 year old has been saying his neck and arms are itchy for a while but there is nothing on his skin that looks like dry skin, bites, rashes etc. I’ve been putting sudocream on it but no idea if it makes any difference. He tends to complain about it around bedtime or random times throughout the day, then forgets about it and moves on. Any ideas on what it could be?

Just moisturise no need for sudocreme unless you can actually see something. Could be dry skin or anything really. Aveeno is good

@crunchiemunchies what do you use to wash him? could it be irritating?

Thanks all, we use Johnson’s bubble bath. But we’ve been using that for ages, way before he started complaining of itchiness so I don’t think it’s that. He doesn’t drink much at all, so maybe that’s something to do with it. Although his skin doesn’t look particularly dry.

I’ve just seen aveeno do a baby balm for dry itchy skin so i might try that and see if it helps

What moisturiser do you normally use on his skin?

I'd think I'd want to rule out medical issues first. There are some things that can cause itching.

Have you got anything new that could be irritating his skin?
