A moment of heaven - anyone else?

I had a moment earlier in the garden watching my two beautiful children playing in the garden where everything felt like total perfection.

My long term partner and I are about to get married, the garden looks beautiful (if somewhat overgrown in places... it's attracting lots of frogs, butterflies and dragonflies to our pond though!), and it was just a moment where everything was perfect.

It wasn't anything monumental, really quite mundane if anything. But it was beautiful.

Often, everyone sitting around the table, eating some really delicious homemade food feels perfect to me.

Watching and hearing my dd laugh ❤️

Seeing my DCs (27, 24 & 14) arsing around together, laughing & smiling.

I’ve had some serious health problems recently & spent some time feeling very depressed about it all. It’s taken me a long time to realise that the small things are the big things and while I don’t have money, I’m richer than many.

When my DCs are really excited to share something with me, an interesting fact, a bug, anything! My World feels so perfect when they come running towards me full of enthusiasm.

I gave birth to my second child 3 weeks ago. The evening I was discharged from hospital I had a really lovely hot shower and got into bed beside my husband with our 4 year old son in between us for a cuddle and our new baby girl asleep on my chest. It felt totally heavenly.

Knowing I am my DS's go-to person for all the important things in life, big and little, happy and sad. Knowing he trusts me without question, and knows I've got his back, every time...it warms my heart.
