Contact numbers in case of toy loss…

Had a scare last month where my daughter (2.5) lost the comforter she’s had from birth that she can’t sleep without… luckily she only “lost” it at nursery so it was found fairly quickly but im now paranoid about it getting lost again.

this is unlikely as I try and keep it in her bed as much as possible but sometimes it does come out with us (holidays, trips in the car which require a nap and sometimes when she insists etc etc)

is there a way anyone can think of for me to add my phone number to said comforter in case it ever goes missing? I’ve tried writing her name on the label as another child has the same one at her nursery but it just wears off after time and even so the label is not big enough to put a phone number on

How about a sew on label, the ones you can get for school clothes. You could put your number on and then sew it to a discrete part of the teddy / comforter.

Do you know anyone qith a cricut machine? They can cut out your phone number on iron on vinyl.

Are you / someone good at sewing ? Instead of using a label can you sew your number directly onto the comforter.

We had three of the same toys on rotation. It may be too late for that now but personally I’d start substituting it for something else even if it’s just for a few minutes at a time.

attachment issues are no good for anyone no matter the age. But yeah… rather than doubling down on this one and compounding the problem I’d def look to be rotating in something else. She’s not too young.

My Nametags - sticky name tags printed with your name and phone number. An absolute godsend.

Sew on label would be best

Duiprinelloo · 06/07/2025 04:02

Surely just a stick on or sew on label?

Get her some duplicates. Just because there’s a phone number on it doesn’t mean someone will find the you and ring the number.

your daughter will go to sleep eventually without it, it will just be hard for a few nights like when they give up the dummy.
