Pinky promises etc

Popping this into parenting but I think MN is missing a nostalgia topic board!
Growing up pinky promises were like the law in our house, in my friendship groups, in relationships. They were everywhere. It was either pinky promise or "swear down on my nanas ashes/life/grave" etc. My mam would make me swear down on my nana all the time! It was the only way she knew if I was telling the truth or not.
Anyhoo, I was talking to my niece about a sleepover for all of the DC at my house and she asked "really" and I said "pinky promise" and help out my hand.. She had no idea what I was talking about 😲. It got me thinking and I realised I haven't heard some of these sayings for years and years!
So my question is, do you use pinky promise or swear down in your house? Especially with DC?
I don't think I'll use the swear down one with my DC personally, but I definitely want to use pinky promise. I miss it.

I made my 18-year-old pinky promise something just yesterday, so it's definitely still a thing in our house!

I taught my children the concept of pinky promises. Also when you fall out with your mate linking pinky fingers and saying together:
make up make up
never ever break up
if you do
I’ll flush you down the loo
and that will be the end of you!

Stealing this one 😅

That reminds me, when I was a child, if I upset my aunt or another close relative, I would apologise and we would link our little fingers and say,
" Rin tin a bottle of gin
Never fall out with you again".

I’m from Western Australia
I grew up with pinky swears
and also swear on my mum/nanna whoever

my kids do it too my 9 year old usually makes
me swear on the ginnea pigs 😂

but she’s also added in a you shake it you break
it, so when you pinky swear you can’t shake
your hands it’s just a solid link of pinkys.

she has OCD so its usually a swear I won’t get sick if I eat the biscuits deal. Or do you swear I can trust you to check the use by dates.
