Hi
I went to a children's birthday party a year ago and they did an alternative to pass the parcel where there was a wooden rig that was set up in a tree and it was lowered and children grabbed a bag and in it had a sweet or a prize. It was very unique and the parents were not British so wondered if this was a well-known game in Europe. Can anyone help me identify the game and give advice on how to make and play?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

What nationality were they? That might help to identify it 😁!

Was it a piñata?

the parents were Portuguese and German

Can’t you ask them?

No idea but this sounds like a fun game.

You could make your own version.

So dance and when the music stops you run to the place the treats are lowered in and grab one - if you can!

No being “out”. You’ve got to get there fast! Lower different numbers of bags at different points around the rig. And also make them dance in an area a distance away behind a line so they can’t dance under the rig!!!

Thanks so much for the idea. I will need help making this rig!!
