Hi everyone.

This is my 2nd time posting on here and everyone is always so nice so I'm looking for more advice/solidarity please.

My 11 month old has never been a great sleeper but of late it's gotten slightly better. She is having 2 naps a day, one at 9/9.30am and one at 2pm.
She goes to bed between 7/7.30pm. she is very happy and good natured.
She is crawling and standing up and managing to take a couple of steps.
I should note she goes to sleep for naps and bedtime sitting on me lap. No rocking or bopping but won't go if put into cot..we lift her in once she falls asleep

However ! For her naps she literally wakes exactly after one sleep cycle. She used to be able to link them. 45mins in and she'll crawl to a sitting position and I have to put her back to sleep. She will then sleep for another cycle.

At night she'll wake every hour for the first half of the night. Every time she sits up in the cot and we have to lay her back down. Sometimes she's still asleep when sitting up, other times she's awake.
Does this happen to anyone else's babe? I'm worried I've formed bad habits for her by her not being able to link the sleep cycles on her own but it does seem to be a new thing. She used to be able to.
I also thought she'd grow out of the sitting up once the novelty wore off but some nights its every hour.

Any help or advice would be so greatly appreciated

So altogether she is having two 90 minute naps every day? This is probably where you are coming across difficulties, 3 hours of sleep in the day is a lot.

If she's waking up at 3:30pm and going to bed at 7, that's only 3.5 hrs and she's probably not tired enough to stay asleep.

At around the same age, my DD was having one nap at around 12:30pm and sleeping about 2 hours (we napped together in bed which meant she slept longer) and then usually going to bed at around 9:30/10ish. She would then sleep about 11 hours (with 3 or 4 wake-ups for milk) and be up for the day between 8:30/9. There was no strict routine, when I saw her nodding off we went to bed and when she woke me up I got up.
