First poo in the toilet! Very excited (is that sad?)

Since she was about 13/14 months old we've known when Tink needed to wee or poo as she hates to be sitting on someones lap when she does it, even with a nappy on. But we held off potty training her until recently when she's been asking to go. For a few months it's been once or twice and then a gap when she can't be bothered, but now she will go and loves it when she wees in the toilet, she insists I clap and cheer her lol.

I've been leaving her nappy free and today I saw her squat down and could see by the position she wasn't just looking at something on the floor! I asked her if she needed the toilet and she ran into the WC, not even stopping to get her stool from the bathroom, which she usually does. She sat on their for ages and I didn't really think she'd done much apart from a few little wees. When she eventually got up there were two huge poos in the toilet! It is the first time she has poo'd on the toilet. I'm glad that we didn't have them on the floor and that I didn't have to clean her up with them squished to her!

I can't believe how proud I am of her! Her dad rung almost straight after I got her off the toilet and she had to tell him she was a big girl, bless.

Oh I forgot she's 22 months, but 18 months CGA (isn't it great how I can make her younger when it suits me )

BTW, I nearly put the title first poo in the loo and decided I wasn't trying to be clever by making it rhyme.

no that's not sad, that's great!! It's an amazing feeling, that breakthrough you think will never come! I remember DD's first that I witnessed (Daddy had the pleasure of the first ever poo) and it was in Carluccio's! he he
Magic moments eh...

I can't believe how quickly she has got there!

Bit annoyed this evening. I'm staying at my parents so Mum could take me shopping and left Tink with Grandad. He asked if she needed a nappy before she went down, I said she would and to put her on the toilet while her nappy was off. He said "I asked her and she said no"! She says no to everything! You have to do it anyway!!

Well done little Tink

May it be the first of many poos in the toilet.

Well done TInk! (sorry but I have just PMSL at that as I have an adult friend who is generally known as Tink...) but the first poo in the loo always merits a fanfare. And some chocolate buttons.

Been to see a new childminder today (well new to us) and she has two little girls potty training atm, so she said it's a great time to start. Hopefully we'll have her done when the free time is up
