Hi fellow mums 👋
I am looking for any recommendations you have for a good baby monitor that you have used or also any that you would outright reject and why please 🙏 we live in a semi detached with two levels(ground+first floor) so a stable connection and range is the bare minimum I am assuming..what are the other factors you think I should keep in mind which are critical for a good baby monitor

I started researching online and given the range of products and an overwhelmed and sleepless mum with a 3 week old, I feel like I have been going in circles so any inputs are appreciated ❤️
Thanks

The Owlet sock and monitor are great, they monitor heartrate and oxygen levels. They are pricey, but there are currently some listed on ebay for much more reasonable prices Owlet Smart Sock 3rd Generation Monitor + Limited Edition Leopard Print socks 850017640122 | eBay UK

One of our main criteria was non-WiFi, I’ve heard too many stories about people hacking into them!

I use the VTech VM924. Very good price point in my opinion and I've never had an issue with it. Non WiFi which is safer as WiFi ones susceptible to hacking. It does video and sound, room temperature, alarms for variations in room temperature, and can play some calming sounds/lullabies. Everything you could really need I think. I'm also in a house same as yours and no connection issues.

We've just upgraded as need a dual screen and I really recommend the hello baby one from Amazon. It's non WiFi, can have dual screen if you ever need a second camera, has temperature, you can talk etc.. I can get signal in my garden from upstairs, also you can get a clip stand to attach it to so it clips on the next to me bed.

@Hopelessmumma We’ve gone through about 6 monitors 🫠 we constantly seemed to get faulty ones or the connection was horrendous and would drop out during the night etc. So we have tried a fair few 😅

We’ve had the VTech VM3254 for the last 2 years and never had an issue 😊 would definitely recommend.
