When did your baby start crawling after they first started to get into their hands and knees?

Just curious as to when to expect this and how soon we'll need to baby proof.

Baby is 6 months and has been getting onto her hands and knees and rocking for the last week. Also spends a lot of time spinning in circles around her playmat and scooting backwards until she gets stuck haha.

I know the answer is that babies are all different but I'm interested to hear anecdotes and experiences anyway!

Mine was up on hands and knees at 5 months and properly crawling at 6 months. Early but he started walking at 8 months too. He still stays on the move now😅

My son furniture walked from about 7/8 months and walked properly at 9 months. He didn’t really mix with other babies apart from at clinic. Once he went to a childminder at 10 months and saw other babies doing it he started crawling .
