co-sleepers. At what age did you move your little ones into their own rooms, and why that age?

I've posted on advice before on how to create a smooth transaction from your bed to their own. Without much luck.

I tried for a week (maybe less) to get 6m ds into his own room. Resulting in a distressed grumpy ds. And an extremley tired me as ds is still only going around 3 hours at the most between bfeeds. I can cope when he's in my bed. But getting up actually broke me (mentally), I became an uber stressy, snappy cow....poor dp. Resulting in me just having ds back in bed. I don't mind this at all but miss dp in our bed too, it's far too cramped with 3 in a bed. I also think i may be waking ds as i'm a fidged in bed resulting in comfort eating.

I would just like to know what ages you moved your Lo and why you waited, or didn't thankyou.
