Hi,
second baby and wondering does this look like milk allergy or baby acne? First baby had one but did not have classic symptoms of a milk allergy and it took months to get him
diagnosed. Baby is 3 weeks old and rash started around 6 days ago. It’s up on his hairline and some around his ears too and cheeks and jawbone. He is extremely fussy after his milk formula to the point where sometimes he won’t go down at all and then it’s time for milk again. Screaming and appears in so much pain.
he has also trouble trying to pass stool screaming but when he does go it’s loose but mustard colour. No blood in stool. He also has reflux but not too bad.
I have gp app in 2 days time but after first baby and how dismissive doctors were fkr 4 months. I’ve found GP has very limited advice around CMPA. I’m

Looks more like an allergy rash. Poor baby & poor mummy, it’s hard work x

Thanks for your reply just want him to feel
comfortable and wouldn’t mind some sleep myself 😅 I had googled ache in babies but it’s hard to tell from other peoples photos. With other baby the doctors kept telling me he had colic for months until we eventually met the right consultant who diagnosed him.

“It’s colic” is so annoying. Hope you get sorted x

Poor baby and poor you. I'd definitely try cutting out dairy as a first stab at trying to get to the bottom of it. It might not be an 'allergy' but moee of an intolerance and as they get older you can start slowly introducing dairy into the diet. They're clearly struggling to digest it right now.
My GP was hopeless with my daughters colic and reflux. It was my Health Visitor who was supportive of cutting dairy.

Thanks so much for your reply. I think I will cut the dairy as you said and just see how he goes for a while worth a try for sure.
