At our wits end! Shampoo shields/crowns/nightmarish baths

Hi!
Looking for recommendations for a eye shield/shampoo crown etc to help us at bathtime. Our four year old won’t let us wash his hair as he’s afraid of water getting in his eyes/ears.
We’ve tried everything. I was hopeful when I saw shampoo crowns and similar - but the reviews of seemingly all these products are totally terrible.
Can anyone recommend something like this which is actually worth getting?
Fancied this one, but the reviews of the company were absolutely shocking. The one sold in Boots has a terrible review as well!
Thanks!

We used to get the kids to hold a wrung-out flannel over their eyes, seemed to work but probably wouldn’t help with ears

I had the same issue and just didn’t bother washing his hair. Provided you keep it brushed you should be fine. I used a damp cloth if he got any food in it etc. it simply wasn’t worth the distress. It took a long time for him to come round but he’s just about ok washing his own hair now as a teenager!

Put stickers (the glue-less type) on the ceiling and make up games (can you find the frog, the apples, ....) or make up stories, so that his head is really leaning back and use a plastic cup to rinse. Also don't use much shampoo, you really don't need that much.
