Ex has taken me to court for full custody

Hi, my ex has taken me to court for full custody of our daughter (7). We have had 50/50 since she was a year old. He has made up a whole host of allegations against me, social services are conducting a section 7 report through the courts advice and until this is done I am only allowed to see her at his house. I have been working with social services and I’m hoping when we go back to court in June they will suggest we go back to 50/50. I’m currently 18 weeks pregnant with my current partner of 4 years. We have a good home where my daughter lived during our 50% time with her prior to this happening. Will social services be involved with my new baby when I give birth in August?

What did he allege you did to pose a risk to her? Does it involve your new partner? If they think you pose a risk or he does then yes they will be involved with the new baby.

Fullcircle90 · 01/04/2025 21:16

What did he accuse you of?

Why are you only allowed to see her at his house? He can’t unilaterally decide this - what has happened to trigger this?

He hasn't decided it unilaterally, he's applied to court and there is a s7 being conducted so I assume there is an interim court order

It's in the OP. The XH has made up a raft of allegations against her, their 50/50 arrangement has been suspended, and in the interim contact is supervised at his house.

Had he just found out that you were pregnant when he made the reports @Krsxo? If so then Cafcass are not unfamiliar with this scenario.

Assuming that the outcome in June is a return to 50/50 then unlikely there would be involvement with the new baby.

Sadly yes. I think they’re putting their might be

i mean it probably depends on what he said the risk you posed?!?

The allegations range from taking drugs which has been ruled incorrect by a hair follicle test, neglect by feeding her plain pasta (she’s a fussy eater and this is her favourite food), my house being too warm, allowing her to sleep in pants instead of pjs because that’s how she is comfortable, and his words “not parenting her just letting her do what she wants.”

the court ruled I see her at his house and the interim court order states this. The judge at the hearing stated the importance of her having a natural relationship with me when SS have conducted the section 7.

Yes it was after I found out I was pregnant
