Talk me down - My babies face was smushed into my chest - anxious

Please talk me down!

I am fully awake and DD (7 weeks) has been sleeping on my chest all day. I never fall asleep in this position.

Was watching a movie and suddenly looked down and realised her face was completely face down in my chest so nose and mouth were smushed into chest, I quickly moved her into correct position and she is sleeping soundly. Normal colour, no change.

But I'm so shaken - what if I hadn't looked down when I did? How long was she like that for?

In my head now I am worrying she has been oxygen deprived and something terrible is going to happen.

Has anyone else had a scare like this? Was their baby fine?

(I do suffer from anxiety, I am on meds and have the relevant therapy for this)

No. She’s fine. You’re fine too. Babies are pretty hardy, we can all look back on things that happen to our babies, rolling off beds etc, and they are fine. Deep breath and carry on enjoying your baby

She would have moved OP. Do not worry

Thank you everyone! Got myself into a cycle of googling rebreathing and worrying I have damaged her forever. Anxiety is tough
