We’ve just bought one of these hot water dispensers and wondering is it safe to use to make up baby formula? The water that comes out is between always over 90 degrees (checked with a thermometer) It dispenses the hot water in less than 5 seconds which is just quicker than waiting for a kettle to boil! Is it essentially the same as a kettle just quicker? Will definitely make feeds easier and faster!

Don't see why not as it is over 70 degrees.

It simply has to be the right temperature to sterilise the formula, but not too hot. It should say on the formula what temperature water you need to use. Generally that temperature is boiled water that is left to cool a bit. If this shoots out at boiling temp (or just below), it’s possible it may be too hot. Some formulas are more specific about water temperature than others (or example, some of the gentle or hypoallergenic ones). I’d just read the back of the tub and follow those directions.
