4 month sleep regression - Dream feed or middle of night feed?

My child used to sleep 12 hours a night roughly and I used to do a dream feed at about 11pm.

A few days ago it seems like she’s hit the dreaded 4 month regression. She whines here and there but now wakes up at 3am again and won’t sleep unless it’s on me (?!). It doesn’t help that I’ve had to take both the wings off her love to dream swaddle too as she’s turning to her side more and more during the day so could be getting used to that also.

Does the dream feed disturb her sleep? If so shall I just move it to when she wakes at 3am and hope she becomes satisfied enough to sleep in her crib and not on me.?

Do I keep the dream feeds and let her contact nap on me at 3am and not let her associated the wake with a feed?

Any other suggestions?

Oh it's a tough one OP, I've never done the dream feed just let them wake. There's no harm in seeing what happens if you don't dream feed. Are they waking 3am every night? Changing up the dream feed might be enough to disrupt the cycle of them waking at 3.

They are doing such long stretches of sleep you might like to see what happens if you don't feed at 11
Personally I would be inclined to not let them sleep on me at 3am and work on resettling in cot etc

Could it be they are cold with their arms out now? 3am is getting to the coldest part of night and many wake ups around 3 and 4am are because of the cold. Could you set the heating to come on for an hour at 2am or switch to a sleep bag with arms? I've always used the ergopouch bags, they've got a 3.5tog with arms

How has tonight been?

Tonight was better.
I gave a dream feed.
She woke up at 6am today and would only settle in my arms so let her for the next 2 hours.

Do you feed her at 3am? It sounds like you are doing the dream feed but then holding her to get her to sleep at 3am. Definitely feed her! Both times if she needs it. At 4 months, I’d offer a feed every time they wake. Mine weren’t down to one feed a night until closer to a year.

I used to then she slept through the night. As soon as I pick her up and hold at at 3am she falls asleep. She doesn’t cry for the milk. Just seems she can’t fall back to sleep.
