What to dress DD in to sleep at 20/21°C

So my DD is now just over 4 months old, she sleeps through the night and tends not to wake for any reason other than teething pain or really wants a feed (doesnt wake us up if she's too hot or cold etc).

Since shes been in sleeping bags we've always used a 2.5 tog one, as we are in the north and its fairly chilly by standard here. The baby monitor currently reads between 20 and 21 degrees, and at the minute I have her in her 2.5tog bag and a short sleeve, no leg body suit (we call them her undies ha) she feels warm, and has been hot at points from the teething, but I'm paranoid she'll be too hot still. We dont have a 1 tog bag yet, and I have PN OCD which makes it much harder to go with the flow. If the room isnt 18 degrees I get really obsessed with temperature.

Should she be in more or less clothes? Or should I take her out the bag and use a sheet and cellular blanket instead? There's so much conflicting info online I just don't know where to turn. TIA

I have found you just need to feel with touch on her chest… all babies are so different some like it warmer than others mine have both been warm sleepers (like to be warm) willows room is 21 every night atm and she’s in 2.5 tog bag a sleep suit and a vest… I’m not sure I believe the monitor because she doesn’t feel warm she feels just right on her chest- try not to over think I’ve she feels okay not clammy sweaty then she’ll be fine and she’ll wake you up if she’s cold

Thank you, yeah I honestly check her every ten minutes or so and she's usually just about right. I think it's more my own MH, panicking she's too warm, rather than her physical temperature, I just needed that validation.

Every baby is so different but just what works for me. I rather keep the bedroom on the cooler side, average 16-18 degrees. DS 6 months needs short sleeve vest, long sleeve babygrow and 2.5 tog sleep sack. I find as soon as the room gets warmer anything in the 19-21 range he feels really warm. Hard to keep the temp steady but I check the weather forecast every night and set the heat to come on for half an hour here and there if very cold. Close your curtains in the evening when the temp is correct and it tends to maintain it for me. This will all change again as the warmer months set in which I'm not looking forward to as it took me so long to get the balance right just now.

Thanks yeah usually its a steady 18° in our room, but the cold snap we had made it drop to about 14°, so I panicked and turned the heating up (we have storage heaters so it takes a while to feel the full effect) ive turned them back off now so it should level out by tomorrow night fingers crossed.
