Head lice... help!

After advice... my DD has head lice, have treated twice but so many people recommend combing over treatment. My issue is that wet combing doesn't seem to work on my DDs hair. I've tried several combs, including the much recommended Nitty Gritty and it just doesn't shift them off the hair. What am I doing wrong???

I put Hedrin on ( really soak the hair) and then give it ten and comb the Hedrin through with the nitty gritty. It seems to loosen the eggs and kills the lice. I repeat after 3 days and then again after another 3. French plaits with tea tree oil seems to keep the little fuckers at bay.

I used food grade diatomaceous earth successfully for nuking bed bugs & wondered if it would work for kids & found this recipe;
