Baby monitor with screen continuously on recommendation?

Hey all.

I'm looking for a decent baby monitor where the video screen is continuously on overnight and people use this feature so can tell me if the camera good or not. Most seem to be voice activated, but it actually helps my anxiety when the screen doesn't flash on and off, and I can just look at the screen easily.

Not bothered about wifi.

If you keep their screen on all night can you recommend your monitor? Thank you

Hi @Annaparsnip I use the VTech VM924. I find it really good. You can choose to leave the screen on at all times if you wish.
(You also have the option for it to come on if it detects noise from the baby, or hit any button yourself to activate the screen.)

It is not WiFi controlled which I believe is safer anyway.

The camera quality is good and sound is nice and loud. It has some music and soft sound features too. I use the shushing feature when my DS wakes at night as it works in an instant for him.

My only complaint is the battery life. It wears down quite fast so if you are to leave the screen on all night you'll especially notice it. I've never used any other monitor so not sure if maybe they're all like this. It doesn't bother me because I have a power outlet beside my bed so can leave it plugged in if I choose. A full charge should last the night but not much more than that. Not at all a deal breaker for me but just thought I should mention it. The camera part must be plugged in all the time so another consideration for a power outlet near the cot.

@remaininghopeful23 ah thanks so much! We have a socket next to the bed too so don't mind it being plugged in at night, will look at this one now!

BT 6000 one is really good, been using it for 5 years now and it hasn't really had any issue, no fancy WiFi connectivity it just works.
You can set it to either come on screen with noise or just stay on all the time. We keep it on charge most of the time nowadays but in the early days we carried it around with us and the battery lasted ok.

Are you sure you haven’t got the ‘vox’ setting turned on? Most have the option to stay on, or be voice activated I find

I have a HelloBaby monitor, you can use VOX if you choose to but it is easy to switch off, the range is good and the picture is clear and it doesn't use wifi.
