I agree, they'll retest and it's pretty normal. In all probability he'll pass next time Flowers

Typo... They aren't squeezed through the birth canal!

It's very natural to be worried. Sounds like you've both had a difficult start to his little life.

If you feel that your anxiety is getting too much please speak to one of the staff. They deal with things like this everyday and know where to refer you too for some extra support.

In all probability he will be fine though. My BFriend's DS had a very similar start. C-Section near Christmas, neonatal care, failed a hearing test, older sibling at home.

He's 21 next week. 6ft tall and will graduate later in the year.

I definitely wouldn't worry about the hearing test :) my daughter wasn't born via section and she still had mucus in her ear! It's so so common.

Hope you have a wonderful Christmas.

DD3 was born extremely oxygen deprived and couldn’t regulate her oxygen/temperature and was at risk of fitting. Very touch and go for a couple of days but is a healthy, nutty toddler who is exactly where she needs to be developmentally. It’s a really scary time but hopefully be home with you soon! You mentioning a failed hearing test has also made me remember that DD did too initially, it was put down to her delivery as well and the kid can now hear a custard cream snapping from the other end of the house so no lasting effects! Amazing how tough they are even when they’re so tiny.
