Do you use waterwipes for your baby? Do they have a strange smell?!

Been using water wipes since my baby was born but lately ive notived the smell is really strong. I've never noticed a smell before.

Ive read the packet and the ingredients now state that it contains benzalkonium chloride (instead of just water and fruit extract).

Does this put anyone off using them? I use them on my toddlers hands and face all the time throughout the day if they're being messy. Not sure if I should now!

Anyone have any better Wipe recommendations? And out of curiosity, do people wipe their LO hands and face with them?

They’ve always contained that, the formula hasn’t changed. It’s just labeled as such to be clear it’s in the grapefruit seed extract. All wipes need a preservative and theirs is a naturally occurring one. It’s still the same formula, maybe your sense of smell has changed slightly.

I just use a soft flannel through the day, still use wet wipes when out (just because I have so many of them!!), but you can take a Tupperware with a few thin wet flannels.

I’ve never used water wipes as think they are a bit of a rip off for what they are. Just get some reusable wipes if you just want to use water, especially for hands and face. We had some small flannels and I just wet and wiped. You can take them out in a pouch with you as well. Then they go in the wash. Really easy and cheap.
