Is my irritation caused by baby starting to wean?

My DS is 10 months old as BF on average 4 times a day and 1-2 at night (although did sleep 8 till 630 the other night!!)
He is eating 3 solid meals a day and eating very well the last few weeks.
I’ve been feeling more irritable the last few days - it feels a bit pre menstrual but I haven’t had any periods since being pregnant/giving birth.
Does anyone else have experience of this?
Could it be the amount of milk he’s feeding decreasing?
Nothing has changed in my life to make me feel more annoyed.

Yes, this was my experience. Every time my DD dropped a feed I would feel emotional and be irritable. It only lasted a few days though, and the plus side was I always lost weight after she dropped a feed

I didn’t personally have any obvious hormonal changes when my baby weaned or when I got my period, but I did get my period at 3 months despite EBF every 1-2 hours at the point. I didn’t wean him until 16 months. If you are someone who really feels hormonal changes though, yes, of course it’s possible. May also just be you are irritable. It is that time of year.

For me lessening BF was the start of periods returning and hormonal changes kicked in.
