Weaning a baby who won’t take a bottle or cup

My daughter (9 months) is exclusively breastfed and has never taken a bottle (we tried EVERY bottle/approach). We have also tried every straw/spouted cup going - she understands them and will have a few sips (and I mean tiny sips) but will never drink any kind of volume from them. She eats a lot of solids.

I’m going back to work in a month and still breastfeeding first thing, after lunch nap and before bed. I’ve resigned myself to the fact I will have to keep breastfeeding longer than I’d like but am not sure how she’ll do without milk all day. At the afternoon feed she stays on the breast for ages because I think it’s the only hydration she’s getting between morning and evening feeds (we offer water with meals but again she only takes the odd micro sip).

Anyone had a similar situation? Basically…was it ok when you had to go cold turkey during the day and was there anything you did to make it easier? I’m really getting stressed about it!

My dd is 10 months and was exactly like your dd 2 months ago, she will now finally take 4-5oz out of a bottle, we just offered her a formula bottle every evening, and bottle with water in throughout the day for about month and she finally started sucking it- would only chomp on the teat before, stick to one brand (i use MAM) and keep trying she will get there eventually xx

Have you tried an open cup? You mention spouted and straws but not open. My son preferred that 🤷‍♀️
