Have the third coffee, you deserve it!
So little of what you drink actually goes into your milk.

I aim for 2 coffees and 1-2 teas but often have a third coffee (and occasionally a fourth).

The caffeine doesn’t go from the drink to your boob!
i wouldn’t hesitate on a third or fourth

4 or 5 over the course of the day and a large glass of wine at the end.

Moveoverdarlin · 23/10/2024 14:25

I wouldn’t worry too much about a fourth or fifth or even sixth, especially if it’s instant coffee. I counteract it with loads of water too.

spiritgoat · 23/10/2024 14:26

As many as you need before feeling twitchy and skittish, which is usually 3 or 4 for me. You can have more if needed!

Shushquite · 23/10/2024 14:27

As much as you want and have. I would however, drink one cup of water after each coffee. Why? I don't know.

As many as you like, like a pp has said it won't go in breast milk.
I'd only advise decaf after a while because if I have too much coffee I get heart palpitations which sets my anxiety off!

WannabeMathematician · 23/10/2024 15:23

I thought it can be passed on in breast milk? This page from the nhs says so.

Is there new data? I’m not breast feeding myself but have a friend who would love to know this!

I generally have coffee and switch to tea after midday, just incase the caffeine goes to my milk, but i drink alot of hot drinks (generally gone cold before i get to finish them lol) in the day probably 6+ xx

I try to stop after 5 strong filter coffees or 5pm, whichever comes sooner.
