The tax free childcare account currently set to ex's account - how to change?!

Hi all

Way back when my partner and I were together I set up a tax free childcare account via the Gov website, but did it on my partner's 'gov gateway account' as his details were to hand and mine were not.

That turns out to have been a stupid (lazy) mistake on my part, as we're now separated and I have to ask him to give me the passcode to log into the account to sort out the admin of paying for nurseries etc.

I've googled it but can't find any helpful answers - I want to move our daughters TFC account to MY gov gateway account, any ideas how to do this?

Can't you just set one up of your own?

I've tried, but seemingly you can't have two set up for the same child.

Can you phone them?

Ring HMRC! Prepare to be on hold a while but when you do get through I've found them to be really knowledgeable and helpful to be honest.
