My baby girl who seems to cry just with me

My baby girl is 2 months old now... It seems like she doesn't like around me... As she would cry out so loud when I hold her... But would play or be happy with anyone else... I just wanted to have this baby to love me... I wanted that mother daughter bond... Babies want to be around their mom... They cry to be with the mom... But it seems like if she's awake and if I hold her she would just cry .. It makes me feel so helpless and I don't know what to do..

You are her mother! Of course she loves you.

Do you breastfeed? I found that my baby, who is bf would only want milk from me at that age and my presence meant food, not play. If i hugged her, she would root and cry. She was also very windy so not a fan of hugs much.

My daughter is three and a half months now and has longer awake periods and feeding breaks. She is happy to play more with me.

It is just a stage, she loves you but probably just wants to eat, poop and sleep like all newborns. Eventually you get that magic smile and all is forgiven.

Does anyone else have her all day and night? more than likely what’s happening is you are able to hand her off to someone else when she’s cheerful, not hungry or tired, and she is handed back to you when she’s no longer smiley and happy. I bet if you left her with someone all day and night to do all the work of actually caring for her and doing the not so fun, smiley stuff, she’d be quite frazzled.

Naaah she's with me most of the time .. but when she gets fussy... It's difficult for me to settle her .. but her father easily does that . And infact other people too .. i wonder why does she cry when i hug her or try to make her asleep. Yes I breastfeed... Not even giving top feed.. thank you so much @Silverfoxlady and @mindutopia waiting for this time to pass.... 🤞
