Baby monitor recommendations

Toddler moving into own room this week and I need a camera/monitor that I can set up in his room

preferably something that either stays on all night or something that picks up noise and movement and alerts the monitor

You might want to check CuboAi. I'm using that one for my toddler. I love the Danger Zone feature because you can set up areas where you don’t want your LO to go to and it sends an alert if they do. It picks up sound and movement, and it stays on all night.
