How many items of school clothing do you buy?

My DD is starting reception in September so we're buying uniform for the first time.

She'll be wearing a cardigan, polo shirt and skirt or pinafore.

How many of each item do you recommend we need to get through the week?

I can wash her clothes whenever if needed but ideally would just do it all at the weekend ahead of the next week.

5 of everything and label everything!

Also if you have a choice between white or another colour polo shirt, go for the non white as you will lose less to stains!

We are past that stage now but it used to be:

2 cardigans
2 or 3 skirts/pinafores
5 polo shirts
plenty of socks and pants
wash them all Friday evening and very quick iron if necessary Sat.

Exactly this!
