Does it hurt and/or itch?

Peekachewy · 16/05/2024 15:09

A mole

FloraAdora · 16/05/2024 15:09

It looks like it has a dint in the middle; is it a sort of blister? I was thinking of mollscum

It has a darker shadow around it which a mole wouldn't have, and the dot in the middle..could it be a bite that she's allergic to? Did it just seems to appear overnight? It would probably be a bit itchy and sore if it was that?
You could put hydrocortisone cream around it.

Have you been anywhere outside which is known for ticks?

Chrispackhamspoodle · 16/05/2024 16:27

Need more info op.
Does it itch?
How long has it been there?
Is it hot to touch?
Looks like an insect bite to me.
Ask your pharmacist to have a look at it if you are concerned.

Just looks like a spot or a bite to me.

mitogoshi · 16/05/2024 17:02

I've got a couple like that, both from mosquitoes

hennybeans · 16/05/2024 17:10

I have that on my leg. It’s been there years and years, think it was from a bug bite originally.

Anybody know what is this that has appeared on my daughters leg?

@hennybeans yours look like an I growing hair follicle. Dig around in it with a sterile needle (not professional advice 😊)

BloodyAdultDC · 16/05/2024 17:59

I second the old big bite theory - I've still got two from last summer's trip to Scotland.

Also to a pp, deffo an ingrowing hair, get that bugger dug out!

Yes - this. That's exactly how ingrown hairs look like when I get them. How old is your daughter? Any chance she's started experimenting with shaving? (Obviously not if she's a toddler or something!)

Sassypants30 · 16/05/2024 18:36

Thanks everyone, doesn't itch, had for about 3 months. My first thought was ingrowing hair.
