rouge, she might enjoy "What shall we do with the Boo Hoo Baby?" It is a lovely book, based on repetition and really good fun. It is also a strickingly good manual for babycare, so should introduce her to what it'll be like with a baby. We are hoping that when ds is disappointed/intrigued etc. by the baby that we can quote the book to him! And when we read it to him at bedtime we can use it to tell big grown up stories about his funny little baby brother. That's the theory anyway, I'll get back to you in 4 months time about whether it actually works!
