Hi,

Im worried about giving my son the MMR due to a lot of reports of parents of children with ASD that it triggered it and other things ive read however im worried that measles is on the rise and I obviously don't want him catching it. Has anyone ever had their GP agree to do a dingle measles vaccine rather than the MMR?

Oh fgs get your facts right. When they changed the schedule the incidence of diagnoses at the same age did not change. It is unrelated.

It's not related. It's a myth.

There's no link.

Here's a different perspective, measles related encephalitis is very, very real and Roald Dahl's daughter died from it. There is NO treatment for measles other than hoping for the best. Your child is far more likely to have severe, life long brain injury from measles encephalitis than they are from a non-existent risk of ASD.

Please get it done.

If you research it you will see that the apparent connection between the MMR and ASD was completely debunked and the doctor who did the "research" was stuck off.
The MMR is safe.
