Your English is very good. You've been able to express what the problem is on here very well and understand all of the replies.

I think the problem is that GPs don't get much training on infant nutrition and instead of saying they don't know what could be causing the problem a lot will give you poor advice.

Please do fill in the Ages & Stages questionnaires that I linked to and ask your HV to mark them.

Also tell her about the progress checker and the results and ask for a referral to SLT (Speech & Language Therapy) and a hearing test.

If you think that you're struggling to express yourself with your HV, could you show her this thread or ask someone to go with you? Maybe your DH/DP?

Sounds like he needs a referral to speech and language therapy for his eating.

You say English isn’t your first language. Is your son growing up learning two languages?

Don't know if this has been said but locate your nearest children's centre, they normally have groups ect there. There is also normally somebody there you can ask or who can point you in the right direction. With the vomiting, take him back to the doctor/ health visitor and keep going until they help! Sometimes you have to be persistant.

Good luck 😊

It’s an amazing opportunity for him. He is very lucky that you can give him the gift of another language.

Often children who are learning more than one language don’t always meet the language mile stones and may do things like start putting two words together later than those learning one. This doesn’t mean they are behind. So I wouldn’t panic about his language but with his eating issues I would ask for a referral to speech and language as they also work with people with swallowing problems.

Thank you for the advice .i ll visit the nearest children centre and ask if they can help me.or atleast I might meet some parents there who can help.

I went to the Gp back to back but then no help so I was frustrated and googled then got this app and here I am getting so much information that Gp couldn't give all these months.

Totally agree that it is wonderful that you can give him the gift of learning two languages. Also agree that it may take him a little longer to start putting words together than a child only learning one language.

The benefits of learning two far out weigh the slight delay he'll have now though Wink
