My 3 month has started getting dry patches on his face from the cold. Just wondering what would be the best cream to use? Obviously want something extremely gentle. Any suggestions would be really appreciated.

If just because of a wet face,( dribbling etc,) you need a barrier cream. There are loads out there and they are reasonably priced . Go for a non scented , fairly bland cream . I wouldn't buy a big pot , so you can carry it about and reapply regularly .

E45 cream or even vasoline maybe ?

Both my boys have very dry, sensitive, eczema prone skin, and I use a brand called Mustela which I found at our local pharmacy. They have a lovely rich face cream especially for babies and young children, and also a sort of big lipsalve thing to use on faces in this really cold weather. They work really well for us if used morning and evening.

Aveeno for babies is lovely

Balmond skin salvation is amazing, totally natural and can be used all over. Clears up any dry spots on my little one.

I always used child's farm on ds the unscented baby moisturiser, and their oat range is lovely and very gentle

Cetraben cream or plain old sudacrem!

Thanks everyone. I've gone for Aveeno and see how we get on from there. But at least I have this thread as a reference now if it doesn't work 😊
