My ds is 3 in june and has been potty trained during the day for 3 months.
He still has a nappy on at night and usually has a poo as soon as he wakes in the morning.
How do i get him trained through the night or do i jusy wait till he has dry nappies in the morning?
Any advice would be great.

In the early stages of training we used Bambino Mio and Boots cloth training pants - recommend those too - they just limit the mess of an accident bu they can still feel the wetness unlike with some disposable training pants.

I used them with my dd and they were brilliant. I got them 2nd hand from eBay and only used them for a couple of months as dd only had 1 or 2 accidents. However DS has been too big for the cloth training pants from the start and of course now he's 6 it's impossible to find anything like it. I tried a reward chart, but it didn't work. Half the time he didn't even realise he was wet when I told him.

I waited and waited for ds to be dry in the morning then thought we would just try it anyway
he is nearly 5 and it worked well except it has disrupted his sleep a bit - at first during the night, he wouild wake up then fail to get back to sleep
now he wakes earlier than he used to, to have a wee

like you I would have abandoned it if no luck after a week

I think almost 3 is quite young for boys to be dry, but no harm trying?
