Dorset is nice.
We went for a long weekend to a place called Studland about 3 weeks ago. We hired a cottage and there were lovely long sandy beaches and easy walks. We even managed to take the buggy with us on some of them.

north norfolk coast is lovely beautiful wide sandy beaches how old is your baby?
make sure you take a wind break though

Does it have to be England? South Wales (Pembrokeshire) is nice.

(Every coast is a long way from milton keynes )

Weymouth beach is lovely. Sandy, shallow safe. Also punch and judy etc. We love it there.

Sidmouth is the best and my mum lives there! Lovely seafront with no horrible flashing arcades. Lovely pebbly beaches with sandy parts for buiding sand castles, lovely friendly people and fantastic shops, old fashioned but I love it.

PABLOP · 10/03/2008 10:08

oops should have read op properly!

Studland Bay near Poole. Long sandy beaches, safe waters and you can hire sand buggies from the NT shop at Middle Beach.

OrmIrian · 10/03/2008 10:25

Broadstairs in Kent (Viking Bay) is a lovely sandy beach, not too long and near cafe's and restaurants. A lovely small town, and not over commercialised. It's got character and much nicer than its neighbour Margate!

seeker · 10/03/2008 14:01

Joss Bay

Minnis Bay.

Broadstairs

Anywhere on the Dorset coastline, although they aren't all sandy beaches. Weymouth is good but can get VERY crowded in summer.
