Anyone else's baby/toddler woken up by gas every single night?

I've posted about this before and not really established much as a result, something I read earlier has triggered me to try and look into this again because it's not any better.

Basically my 13mo gets gas that she can't sleep through or pass in her sleep every single night. It's been going on for months. It's not an allergy and the GP isn't interested because she's well in herself. But it means both of our sleep is disturbed all the time.

I'm sure this can't be normal but am at a loss as to how to improve it anymore. Gripe water/infacol etc don't help, I can't get her to tolerate fennel tea to try and help. Anyone?

My baby had this for the first 8 months of his life. 11 months now and he occasionally has bad gas at night but nowhere near as bad as before.

What time is dinner? We moved dinner to 4.30 and last bottle at 6.30 and that seemed to help a little bit - think he has a bit more time to pass it before bed time

Sorry, Not massively helpful but worth a try to bring dinner forward a bit maybe?

Appreciate the suggestion but timings don't make any difference, some days she has maybe two bites for dinner and so hasn't had more substantial solids since lunchtime and we still get the issue.

I would reduce the gassier foods for dinner, try a probiotic and perhaps something like gripe water?

She doesn't have any particularly gassy foods, I've kept a food diary for ages and the issue persists regardless of what she eats (or doesn't eat). Probiotics helped make her regular but now we have a good balance she doesn't have them anymore as they send her too much the other way if we go overboard.

If you've already tried excluding certain foods like dairy, I'd personally go back to the gp to try to see what else it could be. Can you HV offer any help?

Hi, I know it’s been a while but did anything help your little one in the end? My 13 month toddler is also going through the same thing 😔although he is constipated so he’s on medication for this. But he wakes up a lot of times throughout the night in pain from gas.
