Brands for slim children?

My nearly 2 year old is on the 9th percentile and fairly short. He's just moved into 18-24 months clothes and it's fine length wise but often he just drowns in his clothes.

Any brand suggestions that cater for slim children? I have to often fold over his trousers at the waistband so they don't fall down. I have an older son who doesn't have this issue.

He's actually a really good eater, just lost lots of weight after birth and then stayed on that percentile ever since.

Lindex leggings have an adjustable waistband, they do brushed cotton lined ones for winter

@MyLoveIsYourLove0xO next stuff is huge! DSis 75th-90th centile for height 50th for weight, he is nearly 4.5 and comfortably in 2-3 from next

H&M, Gap, Lindex, Joules & Vertbaudet tend to be slim fitting.

Paarticular favourites here for DD, and DS when he was younger, are H&M's adjustable waist leggings.

I do get some bits hand made though as so many things still drown my DD. Have a look at Jacob's Boutique on Instagram.

Yeah I find next and M&S come up enormous!! DD has just turned 1 and still fits in 3-6 from Next 😵‍💫 she’s average size! M&S always swamps my boys (and therefore we have those clothes hanging around for ages and they’re not my fave but my mum insists on buying them 😂)

I'm glad someone else said this I was reading so many suggestions for next wondering if it was just me who found them enormous. DS is a twig and on the very end of the percentile charts as I've said but he still fits into 9-12 month shorts from next and hes nearly 3 and 1/2!

UndercoverCop · 05/04/2023 08:24

@MuffinToSeeHere yes the shorts are massive, DS will be in his 18.24 again this summer, might need 2-3 by September. I said to DH last weekend do you think he'll take them to uni with him 😁

IamChipmunk · 05/04/2023 08:31

Another saying next!
They do a skinny fit in trakky bottoms and jeans which also have an adjustable waist so go smaller. DS can only wear school trousers from next every other brand is far too big on him!

Great minds we often make similar comments and I swear DS will be still wearing them by the time he starts school. It's not even like he's not growing but honestly they are massive, I suspect I'll still have to tie them to keep them up this year too.

It's not just the shorts either, I brought him a new t-shirt from their outlet shop a few weeks ago age 9-12 months which again drowns him. I don't understand their sizings at all.
