It’s difficult to find a happy thread here so I’m plonking it here.

Parenting is difficult. We have amazing children and it changes your whole personality.

Because we are parents we need extra happiness beyond our children.

Comment me one happiness in your life. The more unusual the better.

My happiness is that I think I’ve taught my cat to say hello …

I work at the same company as my youngest son. He has a much higher position than I do. If I ever need to speak to him in his office he insists I sit in his chair and he stands. I asked him why and he said because he loves and respects me and I will always hold the highest position. I could've popped with pride and happiness.

@erikbloodaxe What an absolute gentleman you have raised. You must be so proud

@slithytoveisascientist I don’t have a DS but I’m obsessed with the games on my phone. Maybe I need to get one!

They are dead cheap second hand and so much fun! I love brain training, Pokémon, professor Leyton and Mario. Lots of games for the DS or switch which aren't available for the phone.

@slithytoveisascientist pokemon makes me happy too! I wish they'd announced the old games for the switch but since they didn't ivestarted an old zelda game instead :)

I think there are a few available. Pokémon is but not for long iirc

@slithytoveisascientist Even though I’m not sociable at all I really like mmorpg on my laptop but I need a massive upgrade

@TheRookie I totally agree. Sometimes it’s the small things that really can make your day. Your husband must realise the pressure on you and seems so supportive x

I'm a bit boring as I don't have any hobbies as such. I love to see how well and happy the kids are, three are all grown and got their own places, partners and good jobs and it fills my heart ❤️
Smallest is the only one at home and we're moving and I can't wait to make his new bedroom perfect 😍
Also dp makes me a brew every morning 🤗 and I go to bed a bit earlier at night and get cosy and look at my phone and Mumsnet

Gemls3123 · 03/03/2023 17:11

@merlotlover I feel like I have no hobbies either but I have many. Just none I’ve very good at! It sounds like your happy times are perfect x

@CatMattress Thats so impressive! What was it?

Stripey top, dungarees, old super hero cape, cat ears on a hair band, super hero mask and EVERY toy cat she could lay her hands on. Done!
