Hi All, starting this thread as i really need a pick me up
my dd is 2.8 and not yet talking…has never said a word. She had glue ear and had grommets in at 2, the magic switch moment never happened. She is in speech therapy and i am trying everything else i can …even reiki!
she has not reached all her pre linguistic skills but is getting there (has recently started pointing to request) she has amazing eye contact and is very intelligent and independent. We do not know if its asd, speech delay/disorder or glue ear related.
anyway im just looking for some positive stories if anyone is willing to share! X

I can tell you one thing for sure, the reiki is a waste of money and time.

Have you any update on your child? My son is now 2.8 and I could have written this post myself. Going through exactly same thing right now and in Ireland

@Annak88 Hi! So my daughter is still not talking, not one word, she has made progress though and her receptive language has come on a lot, id suggest looking up Karen O connor in Galway she does a listening therapy programme and does webinars and has a really good podcast! Also look into nutrition…omega 3s, 9s probiotic etc…
my daughter is doing really well but has a long way to go…she definitely has a language disorder and we cant find any suitable speech therapy…still on all the HSE waitlists…feel free to DM me any time! Good luck! X
