I should say as long as they don't poo in them (that is very rare), otherwise I would change them.

Put a wanted on your local freecycle, someone may be able to help

Liz79 · 29/01/2008 22:19

is cheaper than buying disposables! Can you save up for them, couple of pounds a week? I think if you are very organized you save the price of a pack of disposables each week of your pregnancy and at the end you have enough to buy all the nappies. Its so expenisve though, preparing for a new baby - they need so much gear, cot, car seat, clothes, bedding etc We were lucky that our parents gave us money for all the big stuff (including BTP nappies) and we were given lots of clothes and toys. Bedding from ebay.

Washersaurus · 29/01/2008 22:21

I use a swimming/gym type bag for my nappies.

Someone on freecycle gave me a bag of liners recently which also contained some furry liners. I have never seen anything like them before and haven't been brave enough to use them -Flame have you come across these?

babyjjbaby · 29/01/2008 22:22

i need some now really i wouldn't really want to use freecycle the nappies i got off there were horrible so chuked tem away

lmao @ "furry liners" - I have absolutely no idea what you mean

I got and give some decent nappies on freecycle.

You get some good deals on here too, and the various classified sections.

You don't have to get a proper wet bag, I tend to just used the 10,000 carrier bags from shopping, and chuck them at the end of the day.

Washersaurus · 29/01/2008 23:02

The freecycle lady gave me a bag which had 20 brand new fleece liners in, but also had loads of furry ones that someone has actually sewn! I have no idea what to do with them - I'm not going to use them and don't want to offload them on to someone else in case it puts them off using washable liners all together .

I will have to think of an alternative use for them

Octothechildherder · 29/01/2008 23:05

make small fluffy animals

FlameNFurter · 29/01/2008 23:06

Ooh post me one so I can point and laugh

Washersaurus · 29/01/2008 23:08

I've got about 30 of the pesky things - she didn't mention them when I enquired about the liners, they were just sneaked in with the fleece ones. I didn't want to throw them out, but have no idea what they are good for! Who would think that poo and fur would be a good combination?

coby · 29/01/2008 23:09

Little Lamb do furry liners with each of their nappies. I just use them to 'polish' DDs bottom after using a cloth wipe but I chatted to someone on here who uses them as liners and said they work well...(can't remember who it was now)...they look too fluffy to me and I'm too scared to risk it.

They are quite cute though - look like flat furry caterpillars crawling around my nappy box

Washersaurus · 29/01/2008 23:09

She did say they were free with her nappies when she bought them actually.

Octothechildherder · 29/01/2008 23:10
Grin
Washersaurus · 29/01/2008 23:10

And they do look like furry caterpillars

coby · 29/01/2008 23:10

Would they make a decent toupee for a balding wannabee mohican?

coby · 29/01/2008 23:11

Are they white then???

Octothechildherder · 29/01/2008 23:11

Ladygarden attire LOL

Washersaurus · 29/01/2008 23:11

coby · 29/01/2008 23:13
