Did Omeprazole work for your baby?

Posted the same thing recently about infant gaviscon which we tried for DS’s silent reflux - it didn’t work and he ended up constipated which was nearly as bad as the reflux. Also he is breastfed so getting him to have it was a nightmare.

GP is now prescribing omeprazole. DS is 5 weeks old. She said we can’t rule out a milk allergy but with him being so young it’s too soon and difficult to diagnose.

If your little one had reflux/silent reflux did it work for you? I am sooo sleep deprived and heartbroken at seeing DS so uncomfortable.

Hey @WorryMcGee hope you’re still active. You say your little one has larangomalacia and is currently on omeprezole for it, how did you find it? And has the larangomalacia got better? My little one is 16 weeks and we’re in the same boat! So stressed I can’t tell you the ENT doctor and GP don’t sound worried. He also has been congested since birth which is super annoying xx

im in a similar situation with my 11w old boy.
he has a slight tongue tie but he was feeding well before the silent reflux got worse.
tried gaviscon but it didn’t improve much so we switched formula to Aptamil pepti but he is drinking less and refusing to drink at times so im considering omeprazol.
how did it work for you?
