Ds is 13 months and a huge boy, really strong. He is already showing signs of tantrums, god help me! I took him out of the pram to put him into the car seat and he did the classic arch back and fling yourself backward routine. Unfortunately he nutted me on the side of the head. My knees went and I thought I was going to faint, throw up or both. Luckily my mum was on hand so I didn't drop the little bugger.

He is fine but I am left with a banging headache and a very red ear. Can't wait for the terrible twos

ha ha - sorry I know thats not heloing but I did laugh when I read your title!

Good luck with that one!

claricebeansmum · 18/01/2008 13:54

Wait until he aim gets really good and he can get the bridge of your nose...then there is blood so that's all quite interesting and fascinating...

TurkeyLurkey · 18/01/2008 13:55

Oh god I can remember mine doing this and it reallly hurts.
They also used to do that thing where they're in front of you then they suddenly jump up and knock you under your chin...aaahh, that used to hurt.

Gawd, that hurts. A word of warning, watch out when you are kneeling up on the floor and they come behind and stand on your calves. There is no pain like it.

policywonk · 18/01/2008 14:06

Aaaargh Maidamess my DS2 has just started doing that.

My personal fave is the headbutt to the gob - split lip, tooth damage, the works. Particularly effective in the middle of the night.

Maidamess · 18/01/2008 15:07

What about 'full weight of child on pointy elbow' as they pull themselves up to sitting when they are next to you in bed. Usually on the boob, which kills. Or on the husbands family jewels.

PinkPussyCat · 18/01/2008 15:11

I have had the split lip too - sympathies lucy5!

lol lucy5.

If it's any consolation, at least you didn't end up like my dh: ds1 did the headbutt thing when he was little - and knocked dh's tooth out

My DS is the same at 10mths started to show signs of paddies stamping feet, fists etc. I am quite worried about his behaviour. Good luck, you're not alone.

lucy5 · 18/01/2008 21:05

Hahaha thanks all, glad I'm not the only one with a little bruiser on my hands! Dd was so calm n comparison!

My DS did that and fractured the peg on one of my crowns. I ended up having to have a bridge which meant wearing a denture for 6 months and several years later needed an apicectomy before the problem was resolved.
He's 10 now

dd666 · 18/01/2008 21:11

my dd always always nuts me if i dont get nutted once a day im lucky!

lucy5 · 18/01/2008 21:13

Hahaha! Sorry dd666 I think I might be joining you soon with ds666.

I think I must have concussion, I've just noticed my spelling mistake in the title

Angeldaisy101 · 02/07/2017 00:23

My baby has just head butted me so came across this looking at concussion symptoms. Little rascals they are!

Cranb0rne · 02/07/2017 05:45

Mine has headbutted both me and my DH so hard in the nose that we thought they were broken.

FartnissEverbeans · 02/07/2017 06:02

Not the same but yesterday DS stuck his thumb right up my nose and cut me so badly that I had a nosebleed

WinnerWinnerChickenDinner0 · 02/07/2017 06:33

Have you had the smack in the eye during the night that is so hard it produces a bright white flash Shock
