HELP!!! Baby wriggling and crying all night

My exclusively breastfed 3.5 month old baby now won’t settle at night. He slept for first 13 weeks no problem in his beside me bed with its reflux angle but now everything night he wriggles and squirms and cries and arches back all night long.

I have to hold him in my arms now to get him to stay asleep but the max he can do is a couple hours before wriggling in pain again.

he is quite gassy and does have reflux but has always had both these problems and never had any issue sleeping.I hate seeing him so upset.

PLEASE HELP! It’s been 4 weeks of me sleeping maybe an hour a night.

Hey, I mean the arching the back sounds like he is in discomfort but waking every 2 hours sounds normal to me

My daughter was/is breastfed and she did this too

I would recommend looking into the lullaby trust safe sleep 7 and bed sharing

I think around this age their sleep cycles can change and their sleep can be different, when my daughter was around 11 weeks she started waking every 1-2 hours in her next-to-me crib and this went on for about 5 weeks before I started to bed share with her.

Even if you have a problem with bed sharing it is worth making sure your sleep space is safe incase you accidentally fall asleep.

I found that once we had got the hang of feeding laying down and once she was closer to me. She woke less and when she did wake it was easy to put her back to sleep again with minimal effort.
