My daughter is (for lack of a better term) a space cadet! Anyone else's dd like this?

I'm torn between worrying about her being behind at school because she can't concentrate brilliantly (she is a bright little girl I think and of course I'm so unbiased) and being really pleased that she's so chilled out (I'm not at all, dh is though). Argh! Any other parents of space cadets out there?!

I was the spacecadet! I found normal lessons a bit boring, so I got into the habit of listening to the bits that I thought were important and then tuning out. I would daydream like nobody's business and was a complete nightmare about getting forms back to school etc.
I turned out OK (well, DH might think differently ).

Muffin - can your DD concentrate on stuff that really interests her? You married your DH, so he must be OK though, right? Was he the same in school?
