What would you serve veggie nuggets with for a toddler? I made them last night from left over mash, broc, cauli some green lentils and cheese. Drawing a blank on what to serve them with for lunch.

theyre already quite potatoey so chips are out and just salad doesn’t seem enough. We’re having rice for dinner so can’t do that… help a mumma out mnetters

Did it go well? The slow cooker is such a good idea. I'm cutting down my work hours next year and that's the plan for the mornings, to get that going for the day. I so find it hard to prep food with LO around though!

I think if you're doing family teas like that you could definitely keep lunch simple 😊 Sandwiches/toast with a good protein source like nut butter or cream cheese would be fine some days I'm sure! Or spinachy scrambled eggs.

Cheesy sweet potatoe mash ?

Something with protein in. Sounds lovely but lacking protein.
They've got lentils and cheese. That's fine. You don't need to protein-load every single meal.

Dinner was better received thanks to food picks/ pins I got off Amazon, although not as well received as yesterdays store bought fish cakes and mash.

honestly I love my slow cooker, fantastic for curries, pies or anything that you’d basically have to have on the hob and watch. They’re are apparently cheaper too, also means can buy cheaper cuts of meat. I’ve been wanting to do a Jamaican goat curry after I had one out but we all know how that would go down with her majesty lol
