Nappies with poppers and the kissalove

I am in the process of trying to make the move to cloth nappies. I have a trial pack of a few different ones to play with. A couple of tots bots, a sandy and a kissalove. So far I would say that I prefer the ones with poppers to the velcro which just annoys me.

The kissalove is very nice - is it just a newborn nappy or do they make bigger ones?

What would you say is the best nappy with poppers?

Berryplush. Mmmmmm. But don't be put off by nippa nappies which are far more flexible than poppers in the long run.
I think kissaluv come in larger sizes but I don't see them recommended for anything more than newborns on here.

nannyL · 11/01/2008 21:54

kissaluvs definitely come in larger sizes

at least sizes

my old family sued them and had 12 of each size... i LOVED them and they are one of my all time favourite nappies (have used LOADS of different types and brands of cloth btw)

you can have them with just the terry inside the nappy or a stay dry fleece layer (we had both types)

nannyL · 11/01/2008 21:56

should say at least 3 sizes

ME also do sandys and they have poppers

sandys are lovely too and avliable in organic cotton and bamboo or just normal

Stefka · 11/01/2008 22:28

Your family sued them?! That sounds dramatic! I don't know what you mean by the Terry inside them or the fleece - I am new to all this!

Is there a reason why they are not recommended for older babies?

sorry

a type error... old family used them

accessorizemybaublessanta · 11/01/2008 22:33

Sorry, should clarify them, - they're just not one of the brands people seem to have for older babies. I suspect absorbency is a problem although I've never had one! It's just you only ever see them mentioned for newborns(Kittykins have a great chart to compare them all, which is really helpful, so you could also track down all the popper nappies!)
Have you got some advice to go along with the trial pack - or did you choose yourself?

Kittykins ratings chart and again...

Stefka · 11/01/2008 22:37

Lol - I thought you had been sent free ones because you had sued them!!!

The pack was part of a local scheme. I just bought the pack. I think I might try and go to a nappicino. At the moment I don't have enough to use them all the time but it has been good to give me an introduction to the different sorts.

I can see that they might be a bit thin. Maybe I will try totsbots with poppers. I just don't like the velcro. I liked the way the kissalove fitted - it's sweet.

Good grief - too many nappies!! I see that they don't score well for absorbency. I don't like all that choice - it's way too confusing!

I love the little kissaluvs, but didn;t get on so well with the bigger ones.

baby beehinds are nice popper ones.

I think you get bumbles with poppers too (will go rummage in a box )

I love bumbles

I'm a nippa girl myself though

FlameNFurter · 11/01/2008 23:33

Yup, popper bimbles.

Oooh cotton tails are popper too - they are getting mixed feedback atm because they are new.

accessorizemybaublessanta · 12/01/2008 08:30

I think you need to get some advice Stefka, there is an enormous choice!

Nappyzone · 12/01/2008 21:27

yup popper bimbles and bumbles and bambeasys... lol nanny l i read your piece and thought wow i better watch out if she a customer of mine - poor kisaluv company bieng sued rofl lol . Bimbles/ bambeasys (same but bamboo) imho are the dogs doo das in shaped nappy land. Some pockets come with poppers but i wont go there as i just didnt want to dissapoint flame who was probably having a wager on me mentioning pockets lol... aherm wonderoos, mommys touch etc..... .

How old is your baby?

Stefka · 13/01/2008 12:33

He is 12 weeks today. That's a lot of choice - and a lot that start with the letter B for some reason!

OP posts:
Nappyzone · 13/01/2008 13:48

i started with pockets at about 10 weeks so an option you could try. All begin with b just to mess with my head at ordering times lol! They are all made by easy peasy nappies. I only order in for special orders after demos and dont have any atm but im sure bumfluff (flame) stocks them....

VanillaPumpkin · 13/01/2008 13:56

Hello
I have some Kissaluvs in size 1 and 2 needing a new home if you are interested. Cheap! . I loved them for my dd's!

accessorizemybaublessanta · 13/01/2008 22:31

It is far too confusing reading about 17 different nappies like this - I strongly suggest you contact one of the nappy sellers either on here (Flame, Nappyzone) or Babykind, Kittykins, Nappy Lady to get advice to suit you. You could end up with a whole load of nappies that just don't suit you otherwise.

Nappyzone · 14/01/2008 13:09

she is right....
