puberty in boys

i'm a girl. i have sisters. i have a science degreee, and taught science to gcse.i have no idea about how puberty happens in those with the y chromosome.
ds told me last week he has some hair on his 'willy' and this morning showed me three long hairs in his armpits. i have asked him never to show me those again. my perfect little baby is being changed beyond all recognition by nature.

please tell me something about this. what happens. when does it happen. what can i expect?
girls are easy. dd has had pmt since she was born. i know all about girls. butboys are unknown.

My DD is just 10 and has had a big growth spurt, little pointy boobs and in the last few weeks a little bit of hair and raging hormones all summer so I think she is slightly ahead of DS 12 (they are 2 years 5 days apart) who also had a big growth spurt, and as I said previously has a few signs of puberty.
