… a 10 month old!??!!

Its a bloody nightmare. He will not stay still! I’ve gotten good at attacking from behind and putting it on backwards as he scurries away from me, but now he’s taken to sitting down and when I try to put it on that way he makes his grand escape 🙈 Help needed!!

Ah I didn’t realise nappy pants are a different thing to pull ups.

Sounds like distraction is the way forward! Narrating nappy change routine helps too, so they know what’s coming next (and can eventually tell you).

When I say pull ups I mean what is described here as nappy pants. I would think of the ones that feel wet as training pants. They have probably changed the name since I had a baby in the UK :)

@RunnerDuck2020 No, he’s not quite standing steadily yet. We’ve tried the pull ups but same issue, suppose they will be easier when he is standing himself.
Ooh, I hadn’t heard of the Wriggler changing mats but I’ve just had a look and they look worth a shot! Let me know how you get on with yours! 😂

Having now tried it out I definitely wouldn’t recommend the Wriggler - my DS still managed to roll over inside it and then crawled off wearing it as a sort of cape! 🤣🤣🤣 Very entertaining but certainly not £35 well spent! I think perhaps if you have a mildly wriggly baby it might stop them from rolling over but if you have an extreme wriggler it’s not going to stop them.

Grin £35?! I think you should ask for a refund!

Nappy pants

Kneel over them, head behind you, just low enough so they can't wriggle away, unfastened nappy, grab both feet & lift, swipe nappy away, wipe, cream, fresh nappy under, feet down & fasten nappy, put trousers back on & done. Wrecks your knees but saves a battle.
